Sara Hazel Henderson

We are enjoying our sleepless nights with Hazelnut :) she joined us on July 29th and has been such a little blessing.  It's amazing how much you forget about the newborn stage...  Especially when you have a very independent 4 year old!  She was bigger than Ellie at 7 lbs 11 oz but a little shorter...  19 3/4 in.  They resemble each other except Hazels hair is lighter...

We are still figuring each other out but trying to get into some form of a routine.  We are attempting to follow the Moms on Call schedule.

We are a month in but just finding time to update my blog!  Here's a recap from the hospital :)

48 hours

In sure this blog will see a break and then lots of Hazel pics and updates so I am dumping all my pics since my last post...

Ellie had a play date with her PK-3 class from Mount Paran last Sunday and it was like a mini-class reunion...  They were so excited to see each other and makes them all look forward to starting back in 2 weeks.

We finished up our last camp of the summer at Art Camp.  She enjoyed it and did a lot more than I thought she would.  It was part of Cobb County Recs and was very impressive...

She's so proud of her "gallery"

We have been at the doctor with Hazel checks a lot of the last couple of weeks due to low fluid...  Ellie was ready to go last Tuesday :) we are hoping she holds old for another 48 hours before her planned arrival!

One last play date with Wyatt - her BF and BFF.  They truly love each other and I love his momma and daddy just as much!

One final outing before Hazel's arrival.  Concert on the Square with friends :) We have preop Monday morning and another Ultrasound to check fluid levels.  Hopefully it's stayed the same (6.5) and not dropped to the dreaded 5 for admission on Monday.  Hang in there Hazel until Tuesday!  Low fluid was the same reason I was admitted early with Ellie @ 38 weeks / 4 days.

I can't even begin to think about what all will be happening 2 weeks after Hazel's arrivial.  Our BFFs for the last 3 1/2 years are moving south...  We have known this was coming since we met them but it doesn't make the move any easier...  It's hard to find true friends that your entire family loves - we feel like we've known them forever.  I haven't let my mind or heart go there just yet...  The best part has been our last 2 years of being neighbors.  So nice to walk down the street to be at our BFFs house.  We know we won't lose touch and we will be burning up 75 with trips back and forth, but I hate they want be right here.

Trying to keep up before our lives turn upside down!

We squeezed in a quick weekend to Birmingham last weekend to spend some time with my sweet Dad.  He is battling cancer for the 2nd time (both times when I have been pregnant)...  He's been a trooper but is in the middle of treatments and they are taking their toll on him....  He's having an extremely hard time eating and swallowing due to the radiation.  Praying hard we can continue to fight this battle...  And for my amazing mom as she's with him every step of the way.  I HATE CANCER!  That is all...
Along with visits with my Dad, were visits with Ellie's favorite people - Cousins!  She LOVES her cousins so much and makes me wish we lived closer...  Maybe one day...  Aunt Kelly always has fun things to do to entertain these wild rascals...  Water balloon fight was a hit!
An of course we found something to dress up in...  And then headed to Saw's for a yummy dinner!

Saturday we spent the day with the other side and swam with Millie, Ann Huett, and Taylor!  Lee and Brandi have the perfect house to play all day!  We took breaks from swimming and found plenty of dress clothes.

We also tried our take at tennis this week. Ellie really enjoyed it and the cool weather made it perfect!
Practicing feeding her baby - hoping she will be helpful in a few weeks (maybe this week :/

Last day of tennis!

Fun play date to the Varsity and Cat in the Hat with Wyatt, Caden, and Elizabeth

Proud of their fish puppets!

And this dog...  Sleeps all day long and snores SO loud...  She found herself sleeping outside last night bc she needed to go to to bathroom at 2 am...  This momma was then awake and angry and ended up taking ambien - going to be a LONG day :/
